I have always preferred a hands on approach to engineering. My
background started on the production floor in quality and
manufacturing roles, where I learned how much the boots on the
ground details actually matter. That foundation gives me a
practical perspective on how things are built and how to address
the friction that often exists between design and reality.
Right now I am focused on building technical solutions that I can
own end to end. I enjoy taking complex, technical environments and
building the data solutions required to make them more efficient.
I take a lot of pride in being proficient across the stack and
ensuring that the systems I build are practical enough to actually
work in a real world setting.
In my off hours I am usually still building or optimizing
something. That usually looks like pushing the limits of 3D
printing with engineering grade materials, working on mechanical
DIY projects, or refining strategy in a competitive game. I am a
big believer that being a well rounded engineer is about staying
curious and never really stopping being a builder.
